Past Editions
Since 2024, Lake Como Creativity Week has been bringing the Lake Como area to life every year with exhibitions, talks, workshops and performances. Since 2025, the programme has also included the concurrent Festival del Legno, in collaboration with the Municipality of Cantù. In 2026, the collaboration between the organisations evolved into a stable institutional partnership, aimed at enhancing the region’s status as an integrated creative district and at the coordinated promotion of its cultural and industrial excellence.

2025 — A project running throughout the year
In 2025, Lake Como Creativity Week expanded its programme, evolving into a two-phase event structured around projects, collaborations and opportunities for experimentation spread throughout the year.
‘Primavera Creativa’ provided a platform for widespread initiatives promoted by local organisations, associations, businesses, cultural institutions and educational bodies, all recognised as an integral part of the project and united by a shared desire to strengthen the local creative network.
From 29 September to 5 October 2025, Lake Como Creativity Week then brought together events, exhibitions, talks, workshops and performances over seven days, bringing together experiences linked to contemporary creativity across the region.

2024 — The first edition
The first edition of Lake Como Creativity Week, held from 11 to 17 March 2024, launched a multidisciplinary programme dedicated to creativity as a tool for connection, innovation and regional development.
Particular attention was paid to young people under 30, who were engaged through initiatives designed to encourage participation, project planning and the development of new ideas. These included the UNESCO National Forum of Creative Cities, ‘CreativeMakers: creative skills for the future’, co-organised with the Italian Youth Association for UNESCO and delivered with the participation of the Creative Cities and Italian UNESCO Chairs.
The project highlighted Como’s cross-disciplinary character, linking textiles, fashion and design with architecture, literature, art, science and the other creative expressions that define the region’s history and identity.
The first edition was organised by Como City Council and the Como-Lecco Chamber of Commerce, with the involvement of the Alessandro Volta Foundation and a wide network of institutions, associations and cultural, educational and industrial organisations. These included the University of Insubria, Cometa, the Educational Silk Museum, the Aldo Galli Academy – IED
Network, the Setificio Foundation, the Villa del Grumello Association, the Teatro Sociale – AsLiCo and the UNESCO Club of Como.
